Pho D’licious Serves Fantastic Vietnamese Food in Fargo

Fargo, ND – Henry Tang is the owner and manager of Pho D’licious, a Fargo restaurant specializing in the famous Vietnamese noodle soup, pho. Tang came to Fargo thirty years ago as a refugee from Vietnam. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 1993 and later joined the US Marines.

Tang says there weren’t many Vietnamese restaurants in the FM area while he was growing up, but after visiting his aunt in California, he noticed the growing popularity of pho. He wondered if he could bring this trend to Fargo. After spending a few years learning the restaurant business from his aunt, he decided to open Pho D’licious in downtown Fargo.

COVID-19 has put significant strain on Tang, along with his sister and nephew, who both help him run the business. From March through June, Tang says he and his relatives worked every day without pay.

Tang says it is easy to socially distance in Pho D’licious with its small clientele. He diligently disinfects tables and all employees wear face coverings.

While he has faced challenges maintaining his business during the COVID-19 pandemic, Tang is hopeful. He is pleased with the feedback customers give him about his food and he enjoys seeing returning customers. He says it’s hard work but he is thankful to be doing a job that allows him freedom and creativity.
